Cooling Systems in Home on the Range

Conventional commercial buildings use air conditioning to cool their
buildings. We wanted a better and more efficient way. Therefore,
we are using evaporative cooling, which uses a quarter of the energy
of traditional air conditioning. Evaporative cooling is an ancient technology
that works the same way our bodies cool ourselves; we sweat and the
water carries the heat from our bodies. Evaporative cooling works by air
blowing over water moistened pads. Any heat in the air evaporates the
water. The evaporated water cools the air and the air then flows through
the building. This kind of system is ideal in dry climates such as ours.
We use towers such as the one below house the evaporative cooling units.
